The Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is a proxy to quantify the vegetation amount. It is defined as NDVI=(NIR-Red)/(NIR+Red) where NIR corresponds to the reflectance in the near infrared band, and Red to the reflectance in the red band. The time series of dekadal (10-daily) NDVI 1km version 2 observations over the period 1999-2017 is used to calculate Long Term Statistics (LTS) for ea ... (read more)

Dataset: Diffuse Air Releases (Art 8) under the European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR) Regulation
The European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR) is a web-based register established by Regulation (EC) No 166/2006 which implements the UNECE PRTR Protocol. Article 8 of the Regulation requires the Commission with support from the EEA to have information on releases from diffuse sources where such information exists.
Dataset: Water stress, summer (ClimWatAdapt project, base line)
The ratio of irrigation water consumption to water availability during June, July and August for ClimWatAdapt baseline. In order to assess the vulnerability of the agricultural sector to climate change, the indicator “irrigation consumption-to-water availability” (c.t.a.) is introduced. Irrigation consumption refers to the part of the irrigation water that is really “consumed” by the crops and evap ... (read more)
